Escape Plan Review, Cheats, Secret, Cheat Codes, FAQ, Unlockables, Walkthroughs, Guide for PS Vita

In the Gamescom last year, Sony announced a downloadable title for PlayStation Vita curious managed to capture the attention of both media and the general public thanks to its striking aesthetics and original proposal raised. The name was Escape Plan was advertised as one of the launch titles for the console. Developed by Fun Bits Interactive, backed by Sony Santa Monica and the new laptop in the street, we can finally enjoy the first adventure of Lil and Laarg Have they lived up to the occasion? The story is simple, but seeing the approach of the game nor do we need an epic story full of plot twists. The script does not stop at any time be more than just an excuse to justify our steps. The evil Bakuki us prisoner in his factory and we have to get out of there somehow. As the game itself since the introduction points out, Escape Plan is an adventure full touch, so that all controls are based exclusively on touch screen and the back panel, but joysticks are also used to manage camera and motion sensor to steer Lil when flying. In principle, all seems very simple and fairly manageable. Playing our characters we will give the order for them to sit still, if we point one direction will move it and if we touch an object you will use to interact. There are also a number of elements in the scenario that we can either take them out with the rear panel or push them from touching the bottom of the touch screen. For certain actions also need to touch your character simultaneously from the rear and front.

So far so good, the problem comes when integrating this with the level design. All screens are forward side and each corresponds to a room. To overcome it suffice that we get to the exit without dying, which as you can guess it's easier said than done. All the rooms we visit are fraught with danger and death traps that will sharpen our wits constantly, as the slightest failure could lead to death. Lil and Laarg have unique abilities, and depending on the level at which we have, we drive to one of them or both. For example, a coffee Lil to become hyperactive and holding small sprints, while Laarg surfaces can break wood with his huge body.

It should be noted the varied and entertaining in its development thanks to the constant introduction of new mechanics that get that title away completely from the monotony and repetitive. Depending on the number of orders we have given and the time it takes us to overcome, to get to the exit we were rewarded with a score of one, two or three stars. If by some chance we die over the account, the title will give us the controversial (and increasingly common) option to skip the screen and move to the next.

With all this on the table, what goes wrong with the control? The first problems that we have and in turn the most obvious, come from the controls with the touch panel rear. Its sensitivity is high, so the minimum we touch, we will detect and count as order, which can make the task of getting three stars the more frustrating. Furthermore, the title asks us in many times very accurately in certain situations, with actions that have to be very synchronized when executed, for what we have to press the exact area of the rear panel that matches what we see on the screen. Right the first time can sometimes be a challenge, since we do not see our fingers and having to hold the console preventing those pressed by mistake where there is lack of precision is required of us. Also, this is further complicated when we have to move up the camera at the same time.

Another problem is given by the uncomfortable that can be catching the console and play at the same time when the number of shares we have to do is triggered simultaneously. This is something that may sound a little extreme, but believe us, when you are in a room that you have to put four fingers at once on the screen to plug a gas leak, while the other hand you try to give orders, I shall give account of the general difficulty of the title is given mainly by how to attach the laptop to do all this instead of at our wits to solve puzzles.

The other major disadvantage of this title, is given by its limited duration. Overcoming the main quest has lasted just three hours, something is clearly insufficient, especially considering that to be a downloadable game is not exactly cheap. While there is a challenge to us as quite unsettling challenges (overcoming the entire game with only 20 deaths can be a daunting ordeal), 30 hidden collectibles and chop to get the three stars in each level, this does not become sufficiently to encourage us to keep playing more. Overcome each room we can take from seconds to a minute or two, except for some more complex and to hold us many more attempts on the account, but these are the exception.

While the playable section is quite annoying imperfections, we can not do but surrender to the feet of his visuals and artistic. Escape Plan exudes charisma and good work by all sides as to the visual. At all times we try to emulate an old television show, so its overall look is black and white. The character design is also the most striking and inspired, so connect with them quickly with the charm off. The animations are also quite good and varied (not a few ways you can actually die) and the scenarios maintain a good level of detail. It's not a game that squeeze the console, but not needed.

As for the sound, it continues to maintain that style of old series with canned laughter and applause from the audience as what happens on screen and a soundtrack composed by classical music pieces that fit terribly well and give a personal touch to generally set. No voices, although the characters emit all kinds of noises and grunts quite funny. As for sound effects remains the same vein, with very funny worthy of an animated film and unquestionable quality.

Escape Plan is in general a highly recommended game, entertaining and a unique and captivating visual aspect. However, it is halfway to becoming the great game that could have come to be mainly due to its questionable and awkward control system and its short duration. The title hides a tremendous potential to be exploited as it deserves in a predictable sequel that solves these two points, could result in one of the essentials of the new Sony laptop. Although currently we have to make do with what we offer, and if you are willing to go over your mistakes, you will enjoy an adventure original, different and no longer made today.
